Frequently Asked Questions

What is a two-part structural adhesive?

A two-part structural adhesive consists of a resin (Part A) and hardener (Part B) that chemically cross-link when mixed. XINCHOR two-part epoxy adhesives achieve tensile strength of 30–40 MPa and shear strength of 14–18 MPa — stronger than the concrete substrate itself. They are used for steel plate bonding, CFRP lamination, and concrete-to-steel connections.

Can structural adhesive bond steel to concrete?

Yes. Our Steel Bonding Adhesive XQ-JG is specifically formulated for steel-to-concrete bonds, achieving shear strength ≥14 MPa. The thixotropic paste applies on vertical and overhead surfaces without sagging. The bond is designed to fail in the concrete substrate, not at the interface.

What is the working temperature range for your epoxy adhesives?

Our structural adhesives can be applied at 5–35°C ambient temperature and maintain performance in service from -40°C to +60°C (standard grades) or -40°C to +80°C (seismic grade XQ-SSA). Pot life is 40–90 minutes at 25°C depending on the formula.
