The physical and mechanical properties of steel plate are isotropic, can be evenly forced. but its processing needs special fixtures and equipment, so is more cumbersome and complex than carbon fiber strengthening. For the use of steel plate strengthening, the width of the pasted steel plate should be less than 100mm, thickness should be less than 5mm with hand processing. If by pressure dispensing, the thickness should be less than 10mm, and it needs to be designed according to the welding node structure. For ordinary light load structure or components, which be calculated to paste 1-2 layers of carbon fiber fabric can meet the requirements, we should first consider the use of steel plate strengthening.
